IT'S THE MUSIC FESTIVAL - fran and i had a lazy at home day of scrabble and eating and sleeping, then bought picnic food for dinner and headed off to the Ampelon gardens for the opening night of the international music festival. it's held on a grassy platform on the small lake in the gardens with the most magnificent weeping willow creating a curtain of green behind the players.
there were two groups, the first a harpsichord and baroque violin, a bit over amplified and repetitious, but the second group of viola, harp and flute was just beautiful. my favorite piece was claire de lune, i love that music.
sadly, i took my camera but the memory card was left behind in the printer :0( so no pics.
