we had a great lunch at Trentham Estate, helen and her sisters and me. i don't think anyone's ever had a less than terrific meal there.
the weather was still horrible, windy and a bit of rain, a handful of hailstones, but it'll pass.
Now i'm here in armidale, after a nice night staying with Donnie and Peter - a quiet night under a soft and fluffy rug, a hearty tea and a few wines, a good sleep and three flights to get here.
Liz (from the uni) picked me up and we had a cup of tea in the sun on her verandah. about an hour later Danny (the graphic novelist who's also doing a residency) arrived.
Our accommodation is great, we each have a 1930's cottage, beautifully renovated in sparse light and spacious style. Looking forward to doing some good work.
I can't post any pics because i couldn't find my cardreader before i left home. I'll buy one tomorrow and download some pics.
