today has been completely mad, over 1000 kids altogether, all aged between 3 and 7 years old in big auditorium spaces mostly. absolutely unsuitable set ups, and three individual international schools to get to in one day, but it's done.
and all i can say is , thank god i'm here on my hotel bed with a wine, the leftovers of a school provided lunch - terrific crunchy celery, carrot and zucchini with yummy hummus - and nothing planned. till tomorrow .. . a full weekend of sessions, in fact a full week
of sessions until thursday, when we get taken out to the great wall, that'll be terrific.
a few pics from today -
the first school, 325 kids in one group - i woke up at 2 in the morning and couldn't sleep trying to figure out what to do that would work in this vast space, in the end you just do the best you can and know that it's at least a change from the school routine.
not an ideal situation though and the students don't benefit form the visit as they should
we passed a truck with this very cute stencilled logo on the side, couldn't resist it |
the sky tonight, not so hot, here's hoping there's a bit of a breeze to blow away some of this smog |
