WET WEATHER

THE RAIN has bought such growth, the opium poppies i scattered as seed in the garden two years ago without any success, have decided to come up way up in the front yard.

yesterday i discovered a beautiful tiny flower popping up all over the back lawn, the flower is about 5 cent piece size, on a stem with one thin strap of foliage. friend sue found it in a plant book - a thread iris.

it's still wild and woolly down at the lock, the water is level on both sides now, with more water yet to come down the murray.  the cormorant trying to dry its wings was almost getting blown off the barrier
