A WILD AND WOOLLY WEEKEND, i had no real plans and at the last minute decided to drive to Lake Culluleraine an hour away to join friends at the annual lakeside music festival.
I drove down in beautiful sunshine surrounded by amazing Mallee skies
THE MUSIC FESTIVAL is located right on the lake's edge, vast stretches of lawn and beautiful trees, a small town of mobile homes and campers with food and drink tents and two stages.
I arrived around 4.30,
as i drove west watching the grey skies
approaching and rain falling a long way off.
Once the wind whipped up we got about an hour of dust before the rain arrived, a short burst which had everyone running for shelter. the Fossey's Gin tent just happened to be nearby :0)

not the fossey's tent :0) good old steve was providing great gin and tonics all weekend

the sky just kept changing until dark, even after dark - the moon was up
So we listened to various bands till late, i headed off to my swag around 10.30 and spent a sleepless cold night listening to the wind and wishing i'd brought more bedding :0(
I headed home early sunday and drove through dust storms all the way. intended to garden but it was too dirty and windy so i huddled instead, hand sewing and TV :0) + junk food and wine after a hot bath. maybe i'll do the gardening today, it's still windy but blue skies and a sunny day
some landscape and sky from the weekend
