alan and meryl arrived on tuesday for four days. we had a lovely time, bbq, time on the riverbank, and eco dyeing in the studio. alan even had a go at weaving down at the makers room. i did a printing demo as well, proofing my print for the Australian Print Workshop's Impressions show
Last sunday, a knitting day to make jumpers for lambs - they're being born and orphaned, without a mother to keep them warm farmers are struggling to keep them alive and the CWA is running this drive for lamb jumpers. it seems a lot of people are making them, a nice way to lift spirits in troubled times
yesterday was a long days drive - 9.30 till 6 but some nice scenery on the way. a terrible stretch where i was seeing 6 to 10 kangaroos hit on the road every km for at least two hours. just awful.
apart from that a couple of hours of driving through almond blossom orchards and later a lovely lake appeared when i drove into a rest area, complete with swans and cygnets. schools today till 2.30 then i might head off to beechworth
GREAT TO HAVE THE STUDIO FULL of friends on sunday afternoon to bless, christen and warm the studio. work time now :0)
