SANDRA'S BIRTHDAY

A 50th BIRTHDAY- sunny drove me halfway and i walked the rest, parkville to northcote.  Sandra's turning 50 and we had  a lovely sunny afternoon at her place, filled with her friends.  great food, lots of talk and lots of love in the room for Sandra

I WALKED HOME to sunny's, about an hour and a half but a beautiful balmy evening with a full moon

was and now they've put the info on the signpost

SUNDAY WITH SUNNY  - we saw the david bowie and orry kelly exhibitions at acmi, david bowie was just the most creative man - still is

THURSDAY NIGHT - a lovely night at jen and rob's, drinks with the gang and i met little aude, just off the plane from canada with mum meghann jones, great to see them both

FRIDAY MORNING  a great walk down Spring Creek, across the new bridge down to the beach, very pretty

A GOOD WEEK

I'M OFF to melbourne this morning for a long weekend - 50th birthday celebration, staying with sunny,  david bowie and orry kelly exhibitions tomorrow, leigh hobbs, staying in sth melbourne, and opshopping on monday with anne. how good is that? and i've earned it - i feel i can go because i've had a good week of printing in the studio, the beginning i'm sure of a big series of black swans

IN THE STUDIO

i've started the week well,
last week was full of
disappointing drawings so
i'm in the printroom doing
monoprints - much more
satisfying
    wearing lots of layers and a new op shop beanie, it's returned to wintry weather here

starting -  i love the image on the plate

    
  Happy with this, it's the base art of a double page spread, i'll add some depth     with monotone watercolour or ink wash
