THREE DAYS with beloved daughter and granddaughter. What a novelty to see a tiny little person running around in my garden, well walking really. She walked and walked, circumnavigating the house three times, exploring every room. we had a relaxed time, a trip to perry sandhills, lots of time outside and just watching etta, time at the pool which Etta took to easily, driving and listening to her in the back singing 'twinkle twinkle' in perfect pitch.
After a decade on the Murray/Darling confluence I've moved to the Bellarine Peninsula on Pt Phillip Bay. I've been so lucky to spend time with the fabulous birdlife and animals and the river itself, not to mention the warm and friendly people of the Sunraysia. Now i'll be close to family and old friends. My new home is surrounded by the bay and wetlands so there'll be much to discover

SUNNY AND ETTA ARRIVE TOMORROW
I'M EXCITED!! Sunny and Etta fly in at 10.30 tomorrow. Everything is good here, the garden's looking great after the beautiful rain we've had - there's more on the way.
the kangaroos are back now that my family has gone, sorry they missed seeing them. yesterday a small female arrived and today she's joined by a protective looking male. i'm hoping they've mated. They're nestled in the saltbush in the front yard.
print series yesterday after
receiving an inquiry about
them through the style file.
hopefully i'll sell one or two.
i'm surprised i have more
versions than i thought, they
were fun to work on.

at home again before
Jenny and Freddie arrived
on friday for three days.
taking it easy as my
shoulder still feels
strange and a bit
delicate
VISITED THE DOC on Friday and he says everything is going fine I should get used to the feel of the plate in my shoulder by six months (it's been two) and the bone is healing well, my arm movement is improving as he would expect too so i need to relax and slowly do a little more each week to encourage flexibility. I feel better after talking to him.
Unbelievably it poured rain the day before and now it's a wintry weekend, cool and breezy instead of the high 20's we would have expected. Still nice though to be together, Scrabble, movies, and yesterday we went to a clearing sale. Such a country event, utes parked up and down both sides of Channel Road in Curlwaa. Marg Thomson's late husband Col's shedful of tools, equipment, farm vehicles. A big event complete with sausage sizzle. And the sun came out!
The kingfishers are in the garden every day
are as
gorgeous as
ever
