SUNDAY - after market day

Photos from yesterday, beautiful mist on the river in the morning, lovely sunset, calm autumn weather is back and the water is like glass

after a walk on the island i came across Harry - i've seen him on facebook, he's taking his horses, cart and dog on a trek to raise money for facsio-cranial surgery

in the afternoon sonja and indi dropped in for a cuppa, a nice surprise

BIG SLEEP last night after a day at artback for annie's market day. i just sold books, no clothes or jewellery. I needed an easy day and had to pack up and go right on time to go into mildura for our sunset photo shoot at Lake Cardross.

Market day wasn't as busy as usual but i still made some money and the evening sky was filled with interesting sheets of broken cloud as i left.  very promising for the Lake Cardross shoot.  I organised it but had no idea where it was so had to grab a lift with someone.
Lake Cardross was lovely, full of stark tree skeletons and home to pelicans, swans, ibis and little invisible birds in the thick reeds around the edge.  great photo opportunities.

A beautiful way to end the day - we left in almost darkness, 
then I dropped into the brewery on the way home for a glass of wine with sonja, who was with two friends i know.  suddenly tired, i came home to find Di moved out into the caravan park to be with her partner Jos.  it feels strangely empty.  Photo shoot at perry sandhills with my yoga teacher Sam this morning

I took Di for a walk on the island and an artback coffee. spent the day working on swan lake. time to work on the text now. pics are ready to show allen&unwin :0)

WINTER'S COMING

SUDDENLY IT'S CHANGED from balmy autumn to grey windy wintry weather, I'm hoping it improves so Di can enjoy the river at its best, lovely reflections and blue skies.
We walked down the street today, and i got some more work done on Swan Lake this afternoon.

DI ARRIVED today - she's been doing a residency at the art vault and she's my first real guest in the new room - the redgum room :0)
Feels good.
It's been a good day, the guys came to check out the lounge room and get the planning going for a new coonara wood heater to be installed.
the gas man came and checked out the bbq i bought for $30 at the junction junk day - it's all good and working   YES!!!
got two book contracts in the mail, signed them and posted them, so i'll be eating for the next few months
the day was bookended by a yoga session at 8 am and a pilates class at 5.30 so i'm headed off to bed for an early night.

RAINY SUNDAY

MONDAY MORNING now and it's been raining a lot overnight, wonderfully wet.  Yesterday was a low key mother's day, handyman jobs at home (a well-hammered thumb!) and a movie, i went in to see florence foster jenkins - boring with meryl streep being meryl streep in padding and costume :0\

SATURDAY - WAITING FOR RAIN

WELL  we're sposed to have a weekend of rain, it spat a little this afternoon and i'm hoping to hear some drops on the roof when i go to bed.

it was a morning of racing around mildura getting a whole lot of things, busy busy.

followed by a lovely afternoon sitting with a great group of people sculpting in mt gambier stone.  like meditating only more exciting. topped off with a couple of reds with everyone before a quiet night at home :0)

AUTUMN ON THE ISLAND

IT'S GORGEOUS WEATHER here, autumn is just magnificent here, the river is full of reflections, the birds are singing fit to burst and the air is still under a big blue sky.
I had a nice walk on the island, did some tai chi amongst the trees and took some pics

so i've started finishing up the artwork for swan lake, some sketching yesterday and a couple of prints today, patch up bits.  it's nearly done ( :0]      touch wood    Now to finesse the text
