BYE BYE FRAN AND MIKE

AFTER A GREAT FEW DAYS of catching up, crosswords, chat, walks and food, fran and mike headed back towards sydney saturday morning.

 Later in the day on the way home from camera group i stopped at the lock and watched the pelicans preening, flexible little buggars

THURSDAY

DEAR MIKE worked ALL day cutting up wood for me while fran and i fluffed and faffed around mildura, wandering around op shops,  pricing wood heaters,  having lunch at the pizza cafe.  a lovely warm day and aLLmost rain in the evening.    Lucky we all had a big brekkie first thing and i got a walk in

Beautiful rack of lamb for dinner then fran and i really gave it a nudge out on the back verandah till after 2.  it was still trying to rain, big moths were appearing, goatshead moths?  that only appear with rain. this morning there's dampness around so i don't know how much we got. must get a new rain gauge.

MOOCHIN'

THE WEATHER HAS TURNED - the night was warm but early morning the sky became purple/grey, i was sure it would rain but of course it didn't.  Fran and i walked into town for the papers and as the day cooled right down and became dull and grey we decided it would be a good day to just hang out here.
Mike got his chain saw out and cut up all the fallen tree for me, stacked it too. what  a guy!!

 It was a day of food, scrabble, movies, more food and wine.  with      friends :0)    and a gorgeous sunset

LITTLE MARA has a new look of observation and comprehension - and maybe a little sense of humour in those eyes.    in my humble opinion :0)

 IT'S BEEN A GOOD DAY - working on my book this morning and an afternoon being introduced to sculpting in limestone.

TRYING TO FIND MY WAY around using other ways to download my pics. I keep thinking of all the folders of photos i can't access, work, talks, my house and its progress.  Hope i can at least access the photos themselves (all 8000) and re organise them.  I'll see the Mac man on monday - in the meantime i've managed to edit some lovely egret photos i took yesterday morning at sunrise

WELL I'VE MANAGED to download my photos through Lightroom and Photoshop - but i'm sure when i get the mac man to look at my iPhoto, all the pics in there will be retrievable but all my folders will be gone.  all my work on books, prints etc,  talks and more will be a great big mixed up mess.  but here are the egret photos i took this morning, perfect autumn weather

AAAGHHHHHH!!!

MY IPHOTO application has bombed!!!!   i think i inadvertently downloaded an update and now i can't access anything.  can't download pics, can't get to my reference files, folders of family pics - everything.
